Finally de-lurking to join the flock - hello!

I'm in Canada -> Quebec -> Eastern Townships and the coop consists of seven adolescent hens:

-3 white Silkies (Lily, Lacy and Blossom)
-1 Barred Plymouth Rock (Betty Boop)
-1 Rhode Island Red / Cochin mix (Ginger)
-2 Rhode Island Red / Barred Plymouth Rock mixes (Pepper and Truffle, aka The Ninjas)

The hens have been home for about 7 weeks now and still no eggs, the breeder said they should start laying about early August or thereabouts as she wasn't sure of their age. Hah!

I've got tons of questions and look forward to your expert advice and feedback!

SO HAPPY TO BE HERE - CHICKENS ROCK!!

Are there many members from Quebec on this forum, I wonder?

Winter will be here before we know it and I'm afraid my hens will get cold... I've looked in the archives for feeding & care information but have specific questions, which I will go post in the appropriate forums - guess we'll see who replies!
