Hi my only egg layer laided an egg yesterday and sat on it all day. I took it from her last night. And today she is still in box now sitting on nothing. Will she lay again in a day or too. Or should I put fertile eggs under her and wait for chicks and then she will lay again.

Do you want more chickens? Are you prepared to cull unwanted cockerels? I'm not sure where you are located, but winter is fast approaching which can lower the survival odds of chicks. There's also the issue of space to consider -

But sure, you can put fertile eggs under her. After hatching, she will not lay until she has weaned the chicks, which maybe 6-8 weeks or so (possibly longer). This link may be interesting -

Alternatively, you can break her broodiness. This link should help -
