Hello, so we are dealing with an outbreak of coccidioisis with our 2 month old chickens, this is the second time we've delt with this in the 15 years of having birds. We've given them the medicine in their water every night, so far none have died, the. But I'm worried because a few of them are getting thin and often don't have much have food in their crops.
I just want to know how we could get their strength and weight back so they don't die from that.
It's been three days since we discovered the blood in poop. Just felt like asking for help.

Image of one of my babies, she likes jumping on me.

Do you have photos of their poop?

What do you feed?

You're putting medicine in their water at night? Do they have access to medicated water during the day (waking hours) as the only source of drinking water?

What are you using - Corid? I'll put dosing info below if you need it.

If the weather is warm, they may not be eating a lot. Try making a wet mash out of their Chick Starter. You can use the mixed Corid to wet the feed.

Liquid Corid dose is 2tsp or Powdered Corid Dose is 1 1/2tsp per gallon of water given for 5-7 days as the only source of drinking water.
Do not add any extra vitamins/electrolytes that contain B1(Thiamine) to food or water during the course of treatment.

No photos of the poop, I probably should've said this, I ment that we refill the water every night so it goes on through the night and into the day, so the only source of water day and night is the medicated water, we are using liquid Corid(also have powered) the weather has been VERY warm so I'll wet some of their food and see if more of them will eat, thank you lots! :)
