Coccidiousis and How does it work?

So my issue is this, Ive never had a brooding hen hatch but three days ago a little baby came out from under moma. Now ive droped the water to the ground so the baby can drink but I cant feed them all starter and I sure cant feed them all cocci meds. So my question is this, If ive never seen cocci in the coop should I be worried about weather or not this little chick will make the flock sick. It looks clean and clear and seperating the two of them from the flock is not possible. How do I feed this little chick starter without cuttin the rest of the flock out of layer mash?
Baby chick is out grazing every day with mama I see her eating grass and drinking water should I be worried about it? Ive never had a chick under 4 weeks out on grass and not under a light but they seem happy and doing well. should I be concearned?

The chick will probably be just fine. I have never had a case of cocci either with brooder raised or broody hen raised chicks, and I think it is because they have been exposed to dirt from day one to gradually develop immunity to the coccidia in the soil. My chicks in the brooder get a piece of sod to play with--they love to peck the grass, but also get to the soil eventually. The easy way to feed the chick and layers is to get a bag of Purina Flock Raiser crumbles. It comes in non-medicated, and is identical to chick feed, has 20 % protein, and the hens and roosters can eat it. Then you put out crushed oyster shell in a pan for the hens to eat as they wish. Broody raised chicks are so much easier to raise. I feel sorry for the baby since it will not have others to bond with. They tend to stick together with the ones they are raised with.
