Cochin 6 weeks old sexes?

Last time I posted I found I havr cochins! Pretty excited about it. Theyre now 6 weeks old and definitely getting ready to go out! Just caught them playing king of the hill.

There is 4 of them. I am colored blind so i need a little help here. I'll put my guesses and you let me know what you think!

I am pretty sure I have 1 cockereal and 3 pullets.



1st one. I think pullet.

2nd one. Our runt i named Rocky. I think pullet.

3rd one. I think pullet.

4th one I am thinking male. Seems red and bigger then the rest. I believe brighter mean male.

oh yes, that last one is an early cockerel, which is common with cochins... for their boys to announce themselves early.

Agreed, number four looks like a cockerel. Beautiful chicks by the way! Cochins are my absolute favorites.

Thank you! They were a surprise! We were given 8 chicks and told they were silkies lol. I am very happy cause I didnt really want that many silkies. Happy little surprise!


Here is more of the view of their feathers. Cant wait to see what they look like as adults!
The runt just started getting theirs.
