Cochin bump on beak & bare neck loss of feathers - see pictures

Here is the beak bump and bare neck. The beak bump as been there over 2 weeks and seems to stay the same. The bare neck is getting larger. Any ideas? Thanks.

I can't really say much about the lump, but the neck feather loss looks like the start of a molt. When chickens molt it generally starts around the head and neck. I don't see any new feathers coming in yet, but they should appear soon. Just to be safe you should probably do a bug check. And if the feather loss starts appearing on other birds in other places, such as their butts or lower backs, you should start observing for feather picking going on in the flock.
