cochin fertility problems?

Kind of similar to you, in that i read it somewhere on here that all the fluffy feathers get in the way. So to remedy the problem you need to do a trim job around the vents. At least I think it was with the Cochins.

Someone else may chime in and I could have a faulty recollection.
 
No, you're right :) All those fluffy feathers get in the way of business. Trim below the vent on your roo and above for your hens. I had to do this with mine as well. If you're showing though, don't trim. Your only option there is AI, which did not seem appealing to me at all. I don't show, so I trimmed. Good luck!
