Is there any chance these two bantam Cochins are girls? I don’t know what color of Cochin they are supposed to be. They are 7 weeks old. (The two in question are the dark colored ones - don’t mind the Mille Fleur D’uccles photo bombing)

I would say they are cockerels but I’m not great at this! Hopefully they are girls!

If anyone ever wonders, I think it is safe to say they are cockerels at this point. Also pretty sure they are Golden Laced Cochins. They are also little jerks. I’m pretty sure their lives will be good, but short.

Yeah those are both cockerels. I personally did not like my Cochin bantam cockerels and they went to freezer camp to be used to make bone broth. Mine were all like little aggressive chihuahuas lol

I had a white Cochin bantam cockerel before too and he was the meanest thing imaginable, to people and birds! But tell me, are processing bantam cockerels at 10ish weeks old worth it? Is there even meat to speak of? These guys have to go and maybe I could finally find the courage to kill and process one of my birds.
