Here is a picture of a cochin that was hatched this past spring. I bought it from a local breeder.

What gender is it?
What color is it?

I am neew to the chicken world, and would love to learn more about my birds.

Can't help you with the color or gender but it is a very pretty bird!

Splash or lt blue, I'm guessing pullet, depending on the exact age.

Blue/Splash Cochin Hen. The picture is kind of dark, if you could get a better picture I bet I could tell you the color.

Oh, the other one is a hen and as for the color ..? Maybe a Blue X Buff or Partridge Cochin??? I dunno? I'm not a color expirt!

I was thinking it might be a roo... And the other little one is too cute for words, I just never know what to call her when people ask what color she is! I am loving my fluffy birds! They are by far my favorite!
