I have a chick that just hatched that i thought for sure was a cochinXsilkie, but completely the wrong color for being from those parents, i just figured it's got that coloring somewhere back in the lines. However, i caught my very old, never seen her lay an egg before, RIR hen LAYING AN EGG!!! ???? It was exactly the same color as the cochin's eggs, and now i'm wondering if this one i have could possibly be a RIR x silkie instead. Has anyone had one of these before, what did they look like???
