Cochins and Araucanas have been Separated.. how long do I wait...

I have now separated the Cochins and Araucanas.. they each have there own pen... I know there was some mateing going on... so how long can the female keep sperm of a rooster? that way I eat the eggs produced and dont take any chances that they are crosses... I wanna hatch some pure babies and not risk babies that look pure but are really not.

I have heard 10 days, but hopefully someone else can help you out because it might be longer.

I think 10 days to 2 weeks ~ but if you really want to be sure wait 3 weeks.

Perfect... Ill have 3 weeks of fresh eggs.. Woo hoo...
