This is actually my friends chicken- I’m just curious because he’s so pretty! But i’m pretty sure they bought a clutch of fertilized eggs from someone.

Very likely a crossbred then.

The bird pictured is a Black Sex Link. While the chick does look similar, only females of this crossbreed have that color and the chick pictured is very clearly a male. Very likely an unnamed cross
