Cockerel leg turning green?

He was fine yesterday. We brought him to a 4-H clinic and when we got home he wasn't walking. He was fine at the clinic. Now today his leg is turning green. What is going on?? We don't want to lose him!

Could he have been grabbed by the leg by any chance and have been bruised?

He is not a broiler. He isn't confined. He has a large area to run though we can not do free-range due to our location.



As far as I know he was not grabbed by his leg but I suppose it is a possibility. He makes us chase him to get him and maybe my daughter did without trying/realizing??

Do chickens bruise green?? When my husband gets home I will try to get pictures up.
