I have black Jersey Giants and it appears two have gotten red on their combs but I'm not sure if maybe the one is just plder than the rest by a little?
They should be about 7 weeks. I'm going to post all 4 of them (2 I'm fairly sure are pullets and 2 I'm not sure. I was sold all pullets but you know how it goes) and if you need more pics let me know! Im hoping the more white face one is a pullet... This one was always a bit bigger than the rest since I got them. And they're all hatchery stock if that matters.

When you post photos it is often helpful to include a profile shot showing legs and posture along with a shot of the head. In this case it is not necessary. The top one is a cockerel based on color and size of the comb. The second one is a cockerel based on the comb color and size but also because of the wattles, they are clearly visible.

The last two are pullets, color and size of comb.

Well thanks guys! Does anyone off handedly know how loud black Jersey's typically are? Im sad to find they are cockerels as I will probably have to get rid of them. I had 12 chicks and gave away 8 they were All 12 supposed to be pullets but I guess they threw in some "hand warmers" as I had ordered 10

are you asking about the cockerels? or the pullets? Both can be loud, of any breed. My BJG rarely lets you know when she's laid, but she belts out quite a loud tune when she senses danger. She's sometimes louder than my araucana rooster.

Just the cockerels. I doubt the neighbors will complain about weird hen noises at 6 am ;)

Also I think I will drop the 20-some dollars on that no crow collar I saw online before I get attempt to re-home one of the cockerels. I still have to re-home one regardless right? Because they'll fight?
