Cockerel or Pullet, that is the question...

So my blue Orpington is somewhere between 13-16 weeks old (not sure because it was already some weeks old when I got it). It was free because the breeder said “he” is a cockerel. I named “him” Elvis and now I’m really thinking that “he” is a “she”! What do y’all think, do I have to change the name to Elvira? I’ll be super happy if it’s a pullet even though I was looking forward to breeding.

I think pullet, but not a Blue Orpington because it has feathered legs. Could be the lighting but I don't think it's coloring is blue either.

What breed do you think it is? The color in the pic makes it look darker than it really is. It is a gray color.

Well she supposedly only breeds rare and heritage breeds but I think she maybe got her chicks mixed up. Looks like a blue copper Maran maybe. She didn’t say she had those but I did buy some French black copper marans from her too.

Orpingtons don’t have feathered legs (I think). Blue Cochin maybe? That’s definitely a pullet though. Beautiful

Do you have any pictures of her standing by herself? Maybe you could ask the breeder if she has any ideas?
