So my two week old cockerel appears to have a broken or dislocated leg. He recently started walking with strange shuffle and upon closer inspection I discovered that his left leg will bend in completely the wrong direction at the knee. He puts very little weight on it and only walks around when he has to. the toes on that foot are balled up and the whole leg is limp. Is there anything I can do for him? I am attaching pictures (please forgive the poor quality, he's a little squirmy). I don't know if I could bring myself to put him down, he's one of the nicer cockerels I've had, and an awfully sweet little guy, please help!

Welcome To BYC

It could be a slipped tendon or a leg deformity like Valgus Varus. Provide him with some poultry vitamins containing Vitamin B2(Riboflavin) or crush a human B-Complex vitamin and add it to his feed.
