I live in the city and cannot have roosters. I had a broody hen earlier this summer, so I got her some fertilized eggs. She hatched six. Unfortunately, three of them are boys.
They’re approximately 16 weeks old, mixed breed. They haven’t started crowing … yet. So far, they are sweet, handsome guys. (The hens run my crew.)
(1) is dark red and black with big beautiful tail feathers. He is the most dominant of the three, but only toward his brood mates.
(2) is light grey with black spots. Seems more clever than the average chicken.
(3) is red with short black tail feathers. Has silly long legs.
(Sorry for the poor photos. They are active!)
I regularly travel to Harrisonville and Warsaw, MO and am happy to deliver. I will be traveling through western Kansas in a few weeks so delivery along I-70 is an option as well.
Thanks for your help!
