Cockerels on adult feed

Hello. I have four Silkie Cockerels. They have been on starter grower feed. They are now 16 weeks old. I would like to move all my chickens into the new coop at the same time to prevent fighting. I was planning to move my layer hands in today but I know you are supposed to not start layer feed with chicks until 18 weeks old. Do you think the silkies at being 16 weeks old will be affected by eating layer feed at that age?

All your birds could be eating an all-flock feed, with oyster shell in a separate feeder for any actively laying hens. Easy! Good for all, hatchlings to old age.
