Hi.

I need to know how to keep my coop warm in the winter. Here is a pic

CHEEPERS004.jpg

It is an older pic(1-2 weeks)
I have been using the DLM with straw and pine shavings. It is before I put in the litter

How else?

Right now, pine and straw is expnsive here, and IDK how long my parents said they would keep buying(i dont pay for them, they do).

well u could use leaves . or pine needles.corn shucks. if ya look maybe you or ur neighbors need there yard raked. anything dry and natural will work.you dont have to buy it go out and work alittle to get it.

You're not just going to leave that one whole side wide open, are you? Are you going to nail it to the coop so that it's closed against the wind?

oh yes i will nail it in. not alot of people here have big tress, they are all small and skinny. leaves will work?

my aunt has 2 HUGE trees and is about 10 mins away(wallking). i will get some from her on saturday.

The school i used to go to has like alot.
I know the principal(she lives down the road), she can get me some
