Cold Weather.....chicks

I have a momma silkie with 7 babies and its going down to 40 or lower ( I am sorry for all of you who are in colder places than I am) should they have a light on them tonight or will the silkie mom be enough?

PROBABLY enough but they ARE silkies and the feathers are not quite as good as regular for heat retention. If it were me and I valued them I would probably provide a heat source just for evenings and watch for stressed chicks.
