I have been watching the temp. in the coop, here in Beaverton we been having temps as low as 21 the temp. in the coop has been anywhere from 32-40 degrees, when the temp. in the coop got down to 32 we started leaving the coop light on. When I open the coop door the girls come running out then stop and look around wondering if they really want to be out in the cold not only do they want to be out they want out in the yard to run around this they do for the day, if I don't let them out as I'm leaving the coop they try to bum rush me at the gate so I have to be fast to close the door they usually win and I leave the gate open.
