collecting feathers

does anyone save their feathers. I know some are used for fly fishing and crafts is there any other reason or thing that can be done with them?

I've always kept the prettiest from mine in a vase just to enjoy!

I keep the cool looking ones. Its funny, my peacock, game cock and leghorn, and barred rock feathers blend togather nicely.
I use them for a lot of my oldest daughter's craft projects for school.
I also eventually plan to make an awesome set of fairy wings with them, if Jim will let me use the eye feathers from the peacock. lol

I have been saving ours too. dunno what i will make with them. SOme would make cute decorative feather dusters.
