Color genetics

Hello, I'm still learning color genetics and currently raising my first chicks hatched from my own mixed flock. My rooster, Gandalf is a gray (not quite blue not quite lavender) Orpington cross, and my hens are two chocolate Orps, 2 Wyandottes (a gold and silver laced) and a Dominique. This chick now 10 days old is looking like it'll be a barred bird. Given my solid rooster and single barred hen, can I safely assume this little one is a cockerel?
