I was just asked a question and it got me thinking.... I have ideal 236 hens that lay a ton of white eggs. The rooster is a top hat mutt. My top hat females lay light cream colored eggs. Will the offspring from the ideal236 crossed with the top hat roo produce white eggs?

I would think so - you say the roo is a mutt - what is his back ground?
At best you might have a 50/50 shot at the cream/white.

I also have the Ideal 236 - those girls PRODUCE!!!

yes they produce! The roo was sold to me as a say old and was supposed to be a polish top hat. Its not a polish but does have the tip hat. I have some chicks that are five weeks old so I guess I'll find out for sure when they lay
