color? on tom

I'm not sure what color his parents were he was from a mixed color flock of over 20 birds. There were no whites, or bronzes just the rarer colors.
As for sun bleached no he really is that light. I'm trying to get a better photo of him so will post asap.
I now think that maybe he's some kind of tricolor? His primaries are black barred, secondaries are brown barred and body feathers go from black tipped to a taupe color then lots of white.
This next year he will be crossed with a white, a palm, a barred tail version of light gray and a regular light gray. This should help me decode his color and give me interesting colored turkeys!

Yes he could be.

But that cross will only make narragansett looking offspring, with a few off colored feathers here and there.

They can have one or more solid colored primaries, some decrease in barring in the primary and secondary wings and also can have a royal palm like secondary or so.
But the overall bird will still very much look like a narragansett.

Tri-colors do not have barred wing feathers.

Will be looking forward to more pics of him.

Here's some more photos taken today. No photo editing of any sort, what you see is what he looks like.

He's the one on the right, facing away from the camera.

This is the only photo taken with a flash also.

These guys are free range and not overly pet like (also afraid of cameras) so real close ups are about impossible.

He looks like a typical narragansett, they can vary in shade from one to the next. Free ranged birds will definitely get sun bleached so some of his lighter coloration could be caused from that too.
