Color Questions on partridge cochins

I have a cochin partridge roo that just is not breeding quality and no where near breed standards so I am culling him but keeping him as a pet but that leaves me with two AWESOME partridge hens with heavy feather very nice combs and I need a rooster for them and since partridge roos are somewhat harder to come by what could I use as a sub roo to develop the color correctly. I have this PERFECT down to the points on the comb to his feathered feet BLACK and I was wondering if I crossed him to my partridge hens if the offspring will be split ?
