So that booth would be for people bringing chickens by for them to kiss??LOL

I have been meaning to come back by and tell you all how much my children and I enjoyed coming to Chickenfest. We had a wonderful time. We didn't stay too long, as we bought 3 Red Star pullets and the kids were anxious to get them home. Funny, my children actually met children they go to school with at Chickenfest - I believe they were Wendell's grandchildren? They were excellent guides. Anyway, we just had a great time and learned a lot. And it sounds like you all have plans for another next year! Yippee!

The pullets we bought are our first chickens and they have been marvelous. Very sweet and took to their coop and run right away. After a week, we started to let them free range the backyard after work. Celestia (6 year old named her) even jumps up on my lap for some petting in the evening. They happily go up to roost in their coop around 8 each evening. So thank you to the gentleman who sold them to us, and gave us great helpful advice. We are looking forward to their first eggs in August.

So I must say Chickenfest was a huge success for me and my kids. And we look forward to next year! And while I am far from a chicken expert (a total chicken beginner), I would be happy to help anyway I can.

Reading about Chicken Fest 2013, and all the people who volunteered to help with Chicken Fest 2014....and Nothing further.

Will there be a Chicken Fest this year? Where? When?

Not one that I put on/host. My wife's health has put nearly all my projects on the back burner. Others are welcome to pick up the torch if they desire...

So sorry about your wife's health. I'm such a newbie, I just wanted to make contact with other Colorado folk and learn more about the wonderful world of chickens. Maybe next year?

Maybe. Also, go to the Colorado thread: https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/68894/colorado/20210#post_13674869

There is also a very active Colorado Chickens group on a popular social media site.
