Coloring Chicks?

I've heard of hatcheries doing it for easter chick sales...but haven't heard anything about it being particularly safe for the chick/approved of.

iive read that once the chick hatches it doesn't affect them but idk if it can affect your hatch %.

Did it for the first time last night. Those eggs should hatch Easter weekend.
