Colors

Y'all are making me so jealous! I'm after some chocolates and royal purples when some of the local people I've emailed have them available. Hurry up spring!!!

What color is the one in front of him to the left ?

I'm not sure what to call that color... it's... really off, whatever it is, lol (the flash exaggerated it some, that pen is completely shaded). I have 2 males like that, and a Hen that's close, but not exact. I think of them as mutts actually that need to go into the freezer, lol but so far I have been hanging onto them until I decide if I want to use them in my Chocolate flock or for a new project since they have no white flights and have perfect wattles. They have really dark brown flank feathers (like a dark roasted coffee bean color), so they are somewhere in the Chocolate spectrum. I guess, lol. (The bird in front of him is one of my normal colored Chocolate males - big difference).

I need to catch them and check the numbers on their wing bands, then check my records so I can go back and see which batches they hatched from to see what they looked like as keets, and how they changed as they matured. If I remember correctly they looked more like slightly off colored Royal Purples than Chocolates as keets, but as they grew they started feathering in brown (similar to my Chocolates, but off-colored/darker brown), so I kept them.

I kind of thought the same thing silver chocolate instead of brown chocolate. New color yeah!

Might be great on the blondes add some more silver/grey zing to them. I like them anyway can come here I'll play with it some.
