My chick that i hatched was from a lomand brown hen, and a multicoloured cockeral that i do not know the breed of. He is yellow at the moment, does anyone know what colour he may end up being?, will it be brown because the mother is? thankyou

It's really hard to say what "mutt" chicks will turn out to look like. I had 2 that hatched pure black and turned golden as they feathered out. My guess would be he will turn out a mix of the 2, but I could be totally wrong. I also have 1 that is Rhode Island Red/Gold laced Barnevelder and you couldn't tell she had any Barnevelder in her if you didn't already now. If he is yellow right now, then he will probably take more after his mother.
