Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do.

We have had a rough time trying to start raising chickens here
. Today we found a buff cochin Cockerell and he looks very healthy. When I got him home and first let him out his comb was bright red as in the first picture below.... within one hour his comb has this dark tint to the edges. It is not cold here at all only a little windy today and he is otherwise seeming very healthy.
