She is a white chicken about 4 years old. I am not sure if the black spots are related to her droopy comb. About 3 weeks ago my other white chicken had droopy comb one day, was drooling, wouldn't move, and had loose poop the next day and died the third day. I don't remember any black spots on her comb.
There was a soft-shelled egg on the floor this morning but I don't know whose. The black spots don't look warty like pictures of poultry pox, but I have not picked her up to look more closely. It sounds like I should check her vent and crop when I get homre from work. Any other things I can check? Does a regular cat and dog vet have much to offer?
Thanks!
