Hello,
I have a pullet (she'll be a hen in Febuary). who's comb and waddles have gotten pale. She acts fine, eats/drinks normally, no mites/lice and is overall very healthy. She acts like her self, super friendly and pushy for treats. She is a Bantam, and hasn't laid an egg since August when I had her on layer feed. I switched her back over to all-purpose as I have her in the coop with young pullets. So I'm pretty sure it's not the bleaching sequence unless she's hiding her eggs. Could it be from the weather? I have her in a very large coop with 3 other pullets. She doesn't snuggle with any of them because she can't fly up to the high roost. (She's a frizzle). We haven't installed a heat lamp either. Could that be it? I'm a bit concerned because she is my best show bird. Any ideas? They aren't white yet, still a dark pink vs. bright red that it normally is.
