Comb

I have a discoloration in the comb. The back is a dark purple and the front is a nice red color. Also the purple part of the comb has no bumps like the rest of the comb. Any ideas of what I can do to bring back the red? I have a show on Friday.

Does your chicken have a large comb? Pictures may help. In some roosters with very large combs, they can be a little dark toward the rear at times, and still be normal.
