I have two small backyard flocks (4 birds each at this point). There is definite mareks in one flock, which was really hard and upsetting. We have a lot of migratory birds that come in our backyard and are guessing that';s where it came from. Because we have so few birds and they are primarily pets, we decided not to cull. 80% of the birds are vaccinated.
We were thinking of trying to combine the flocks. Their runs are at most 10 feet apart. Now with mareks in one flock, we are second guessing.
What would you do? Should we just assume both flocks have mareks?
