Come meet my Bevy

Well, at 7 days old both albino chicks passed away, and quickly.

Here one second, in good spirits, and gone the next. My son understands as I reminded him everyday that the possibility of survival was slim.

The others are still doing great, feathering out.

The colors are coming in on the chicks. I think I may have 2 Rosetta’s, but they could be Barred.

1st one looks silver, 2nd either silver or fee, 3rd looks Pharoah, 4 looks possibly homozygous sparkly based on the wiggly lines on the feathers, 5 looks like tibetan.

Thank you for your insight. I hope to get some better pictures soon. We just moved them to the coop enclosure with the warming plate as our evenings have been fairly cool still. They are doing great and seem to love the extra run around space.

Chicks are 5 weeks this weekend. I did some sexing & it looks to be 8 girls & 4 boys.

I have them separated for now & will do another quick check in a week to be sure.

There is one really really nice all grey with white wings tips that turned out to be a boy. So annoying when your favourite & calmest bird ends up to be one not good for your breeding plan.
