Common diseases and parasites

Hello everyone, I am a 4-H adviser and I want to work with the kids this year on diseases and parasites that are common to the species they are taking. I am a goat person and I don't have much knowledge with poultry. Is there a good resource someone can point me to? I was doing some researching myself and I know there is some... well, not so good advice out there and since I am not familiar with poultry, I don't want to give the kids incorrect information. So, I thought I would post here and ask you guys.

A good book like Storeys Guide to Raising Chickens by Gail Damerow has pretty good general information. Up at the top of the page you can get a lot of good informations about every aspect of raising chicks or chickens. Here are some links from the learning center:
