Community Nest Boxes : Show me yours and tell me if it works

I am curious about "community nest boxes". I do know from experience that when we had 4 nest boxes, out of about 25 hens, they used 1 or 2. Now we are going to have a lot of chickens, a goal of 100 hens. I'm wondering if it would be more practical to build a few "community nest boxes" rather than a wall of 20 12x12 individual boxes.

My guess would be that it would not work as well as you'd like - but that's only a guess. You could build it that way and if it doesn't work, pretty easy so add partitions. You could put a couple of boxes at one end and see if they all want the same one or will use the big space.

Ours is much smaller but we have partitions that just wedge in place and remove for cleaning. Sometimes we want a bigger or smaller nest box and we just move a partition. They are plywood with a piece of (I think) 1 x 2 attached to one side of the bottom edge.
