Complete lies, myths, and falsehoods with chickens

I'm sure we've all heard them. Advice that is a complete lie, uneducated, falsehood, garbage, myth, makes no sense whatsoever.

A recent one I just saw in a thread here was "don't pick up baby chicks until they are 3 weeks old or they will die" Wow. OK.

So what are some complete myths that you have heard or been told?
Where do you think they get started?

I was told last year that you can't eat fertilized eggs. haha.
I told someone I have a rooster with my hens and I collect and eat the eggs. He told me you can't eat fertilized eggs.

I laughed at him and simply said OK.
