Complications w/bumble foot

Help please. Success w/one bumble foot surgery on one hen foot. The other foot was swollen badly, very tiny scab. When cut into foot, no kernel, no cheesy stuff, just blood. Sprayed with vetericyn, put on triple antibiotic and bandaged foot. After we stopped the bleeding. Did not know what to do otherwise, any suggestions? Email me please, Marcie @yucca.net. She is still eating and drinking well today, surgery was yesterday.
