What type of bedding/coop material is the fastest to compost? Right now I'm using straw but have heard of shredded paper, aspen chips, sawdust and sand.

Wondering which one breaks down the fastest? I'm eager to get some of that stuff on my garden!

I've used all sorts of bedding, and I think it depends more on the management of the compost pile then the bedding. Make sure your compost stays warm, gets turned, stays damp, and you have a good mixture of green and brown, and you should have good compost in about 2 months. Have fun.
