Concern with locking up chickens tonight

It’s been SO windy today! I was afraid my chickens would blow away! We had a stack of sheet metal and the wind blew several pieces into the side of a detached garage, and even blew a ladder around!

Just as there is a risk to your house with wind and trees, there’s a risk to your coop. However it’s not likely you’ll be standing in the right spot at the right time to be hammered by a tree (but not impossible either)! Just be fast, be observational, and be careful!

Success!! A branch did break but it hit the roof of the house instead of me, but it was quite scary!!!!!

I ran into an approaching tornado and a flooded backyard to gather my girls. Their lives are in my hands and I take that seriously. Probably too seriously...but...they are my girls. Hope you made it out and back OK. You'll sleep better knowing they are secure.
