At what point after a chukar has pipped to be concerned that it has not broken out of the egg? I had 2 pip yesterday morning and they have not made much progress. I can see ones beak stick through the small hole it made but it hasnt made the hole any bigger.

I had about 6 more pip this morning and one is already out running around and the others have made more progress than yesterdays 2. also should I be worried that the one that has broke out today is running all over and moving the other eggs?

first time hatching so any help is greatly appreciated!!!!

it did most of this yesterday and not much today but his beak pokes out

Both of these have pipped the wrong end. they went straight to shell instead of into the aircell, give them an extra 24 hours. (48 ish from when you first noticed they had pipped.) they might need help but not yet. :)

when I got up this morning neither of the ones that pipped towards the bottom made any progress. I watched them for a while and the one with the bigger pip cracked the egg a little more. The one that pipped a little lower is still moving in the egg but hasn't done anymore cracking.

I think the first one will be able to hatch on its own but still not sure on the second.

so far 5 hatched and doing good and 3 that are close to breaking out.
