I like a concrete floor, I poured one after the fact to keep the tunneling dogs and rats out of the coop. I used deep litter, only shoveled it out spring and fall. I never wanted to hose it because I did not install a drain. It made it easy to shovel. Quit having rats. This was in So. Cal, so it was naturally dry. I had to sprinkle to keep dust down!
