Today is day 17, first day of lockdown. I noticed some slight condensation on the lid around where the sponge is. I don’t have a hygrometer unfortunately, bad planning, I know. Will the condensation become an issue as more chicks hatch? I’ve read that people have drowned their’s when there was condensation and some had a successful hatch. I’m guessing it depends on the amount of condensation the incubator starts out with? I looked it up and saw a lot of mixed answers, and figured the only way I’d get more definite ones is to show pictures of mine specifically.

As you can see in the pictures, it’s only near the sponge and on the rim of the lid.

Thanks in advance!

If your humidity is as recommended, then condensation is not a concern - just an indication of the higher humidity right around the sponge. Get a hygrometer and check your humidity next time.
