The San Diego Zoo is going to have a camera focused on a hatching condor egg along with its parents. It's not due to hatch until early March: "Right now, Shatash and Sisquoc are tending to a life-like faux egg while theirs sits in an incubator. Closer to the end of the 52-day incubation period, scientists will switch the artificial egg for the real one."

but I thought it might be of interest. Condor babies are pretty cute though.

I saw them in the National Zoo, in DC, once. I can hardly believe those things can fly, they are so big. They were in a cage that looked like it was the size of a tennis court and when the bird on the ground stretched it's wings to fly up to the branch, I thought the wingtips would brush the sides of the cage.

Turkey Vultures look like little baby Condors!
