It's an interesting read. Wish I had it when I taught the poultry unit in the three year high school vet science program in my former school. Retired now..

Aww, not necessarily! Even if she is a roo, non-dominant ones don't tend to fight or over-mate, so he might not be a problem. If possible, it might be an idea for you to keep an eye on your flock and if he doesn't start fighting you should keep him... although by three years old, they're usually fighting already, so you're probably fine.
