Adding 4 chicks to my flock this spring, all from a local indie feed store where I got my original 6. Looks to me like this 6 week old Buff Orpington is a cockerel. No saddle feathers at this young age, but the wattle and comb are pretty strong indicators? I can have roos in my area, but he will need to be a good fit for the flock and friendly to humans bc I have grands who collect eggs for me frequently.
