Confused about the age of my silkie?

I have just bought a silkie from a lovely breeder and she said he/she is 15/16 weeks old. A few days ago I bought 2 silkies from a man who had just got them in and said there about 10 week old. Now the 15 week old one is the same size as the "so called 10 week old one". Can he be right? Is there not much difference in 10wk old and 15wk olds?

It could have two do with differences in feed, care, or the individual metabolisms of the birds. Or one of the sellers could be incorrect about the age of the birds.

Well, it's not an immediate solution, but mark down on your calendar when your birds begin to lay (assuming they are female). A Silkie should should lay right around 6 months... so if there is a 5 week difference you will know.
