Conroe, TX Animal Trading Days 5/16 @ Montgomery County Fairgrounds. Gates open at 8 am.

All kinds of animals. Usually mostly chickens.

Anyone going?

so who all went and what did ya get?

i got albino chukars, barred rock hens, some buff orp hens , and a white ee

I went.

Got nothing. Probably a good thing.

Not as many vendors as there were last fall. Last fall it was raining. Mostly chicks. Alot of pheasants, pet-type birds and pea fowl. Everywhere you turned there were seramas and bantys.

Not that many regular sized chickens that were not game birds.

Someone did have some french copper maran chicks. He said they were not hatchery stock, but only 2 out of probably 50 had feathered legs.

yup i seen the marans thought about it and decided not to do it i hope next spring to have the birds separated earlier and take some lf birds who knows might have some for the one in october

You should be able to get better quality marans right here in Conroe than the ones I saw at CTD.
